Student well-being in higher education: Scale development and validation with implications for management education

The International Journal of Management Education

2024

Student well-being (SWB) encompasses the physical, psychological, and social wellness of students, aspects increasingly at risk in the high-pressure environment of higher education. Marked by intense workloads, unmet expectations, and uncertainties around degree completion and employment, the higher education sector faces a growing challenge in maintaining and enhancing SWB. Current instruments for assessing SWB are limited in scope, failing to capture its multifaceted nature comprehensively. Addressing this gap, our research adopts a rigorous multi-study, multi-method, and multi-sample approach to develop and validate a multi-dimensional scale that effectively captures the nuances of SWB. This process encompassed five methodical stages: scale generation, scale purification, scale refinement, scale validation, and scale generalizability. The resulting SWB scale, encompassing five key dimensions …

Brand passion: a systematic review and future research agenda

Journal of Brand Management

2023

Consumers living in today's almost demystified world of consumption are constantly searching for new ways to add value to their lives. Consumption of material goods or owning favorite brands are common ways for consumers to satisfy this deep-seated desire. In this context, a bond between consumers and brands can be formed. Knowledge transfer and innovation through university-industry partnership: An integrated theoretical view

Knowledge Management Research & Practice

2019/10/2

Knowledge has vital role in the development of an economy. Universities have switched to interacting with industries like never before to achieve excellence. On the other hand, industries look forward to working and partnering with academics to a greater extent and firms are pushed to innovate by the ever-increasing competitive market forces. Supporting SMEs in sustainable strategy development post-Covid-19: Challenges and policy agenda for the G20

Global Solutions Initiative Foundation

2021

SMEs contribute substantially to global employment and economic growth. Yet constraints such as lack of capital, human resources and knowledge capability have rendered SMEs operationally incapacitated to report on environmental, social and governance (ESG) requirements. In this policy paper, we first highlight SMEs’ key challenges as they try to recover from crises post-COVID-19. Next, we propose policy actions and recommendations to address such challenges by discussing the effectiveness of best practice frameworks that will help SMEs in sustainable strategy development. Additionally, we propose better policy frameworks to enable SMEs to report on ESGs and contribute to specific SDGs.
